Ridiculously Simple Oyako-don: Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl

   Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and slice the onion thinly.

   Combine the dashi stock, soy sauce, sugar, mirin and sake and bring to a boil.

   Add the onion and chicken and simmer.

   When the onion is transparent and the chicken is cooked through it's good to go.

   Swirl in the beaten egg, put a lid on and cook until the egg looks good (soft set is the best).

   Turn the heat off.

   Pour this over rice in a bowl, garnish with chopped green onion - and the Ridiculously Simple Oyako Don is done!
