Ingredients: 2 tbsp chicken gravy granules; 1 onion, chopped; 1 potatoes, chopped; bunch coriander, chopped; 1/2 Green pepper, chopped; 1 tomato, chopped; 1/2 cup rice; 2 hot dogs, chopped; 1 tbsp bacon fat; 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin; 300 ml boiling water; 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Servings: persons

2 tbsp chicken gravy granules
1 onion, chopped
1 potatoes, chopped
bunch coriander, chopped
1/2 Green pepper, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cup rice
2 hot dogs, chopped
1 tbsp bacon fat
1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
300 ml boiling water
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Heat the oil and bacon fat and added the onion, fry the onion for about 2 minutes over a medium heat.

Add the rest of the vegetables (not the coriander).

Fry for about 3 minutes or until the vegetables become soft.

Stir often.

Add the hot dogs and Worcestershire sauce and fry for a further 2 minutes.

Add the rice and water and bring to the boil, with lid on.

Next add the the granules and salt.

Cook the rice for around 10 minutes.

If it becomes too thick after adding the granules add more water if desired.

Add in the coriander and Continue to cook until done.

Check seasoning and serve.

You can serve this as a thick soup or just as rice depending on how you prefer to have it.
