1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic. Water saute the onions and garlic for 5-7 minutes in a large frying pan over medium heat. (Start with 2 T of water and add more water as needed.)

3. If using canned beans, use 1 can and rinse and drain them well. (I cook dry beans in large batches and keep them in my freezer in 1.5 cup servings for convenience.) Add the beans to the pan.
