   Preheat oven to 400u00b0.

   Prepare pie shell.

   Beat eggs lightly. Add sugar, salt, corn syrup, cooled butter and vanilla; stir until mixed well.

   Spread pecan halves on crust.

   Cover with filling. Place in oven and immediately reduce heat to 350u00b0.
