1) Preheat Oven to 350 degrees and toast the pecans for 8~11min until toasted.

Cool Slightly.

2) In a food processor process toasted almonds for 2~3min until it form pecan butter.

It will start out as really fine crumbs, then not do much, then the pecan crumbs will pull itself into a ball, then turn into peanut butter like texture.

THAT is Pecan Butter, THAT is heaven.

3) Cream butter, both sugars, and pecan butter until light and fluffy.

4) Add in the egg and vanilla and beat until combined.

5) Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl.

6) Mix in the flour into the creamed butter until just combined.

7) Chill 1 hr.

8) Roll chilled dough into 1inch balls and place on a cool cookie sheet.

Press one pecan half into each ball.

9) Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, then let cool on sheet for 1 minutes before moving off of sheet to fully cool.
