1 cup Butter Or Margarine (2 Sticks), Softened
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
1 cup White Sugar
2 whole Eggs
2-1/2 cups Flour
1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 package Chocolate Chips (12 Oz)

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Combine butter/margarine, peanut butter, sugars and eggs until well blended.

Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture until well blended. Add the chocolate chips.

Roll dough into tablespoon size balls, place on cookie sheet and slightly flatten with three fingers. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cracked and slightly golden.

(I don't use a separate bowl for the flour mixture. I add 1 1/2 cups of the flour, baking soda, powder and salt. I stir this until well combined, and then add the final cup of flour and stir again.

I also don't use cookie sheets - I bake on stones that I only use for cookies. But I have been making these for years, long before I started using stones. You just have to watch them much more carefully on cookies sheets so that they don't burn.)
