Meanwhile, rub ginger over tuna then roll tuna in sesame seeds to coat. Season to taste.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Sear tuna for 1 min per side, or until cooked to your liking. Set aside, loosely covered with foil, to rest for 5 mins. Using a sharp knife, cut into thin slices.
