Heat cream, milk, sugar, vanilla bean and vanilla bean seeds over medium heat for 5-7 mins, until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot. Discard vanilla bean. Let cool slightly. Whisk eggs until frothy. Gradually whisk in hot milk mixture.

Layer brioche and orange slices alternately and slightly overlapping in prepared dish. Pour milk mixture over top. Place in a large baking dish. Add enough boiling water to come halfway up the sides of the baking dish. Bake for 55-60 mins, until custard is set.

Meanwhile, to make the glaze, heat marmalade and orange liqueur over low heat for 2-3 mins, until combined. Strain then brush over hot bread pudding.
