Chop remaining 1/2 cup peanuts; set aside.

Beat butter, sugar, maple syrup and maple extract in large bowl with mixer at medium speed until fluffy.

Beat eggs in well.

Stir dry ingredients in small bowl to mix well.

Gradually beat into creamed mixture at low speed until smooth.

Stir in 1/2 cup chopped peanuts.

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet, 1-inch apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until golden.
