1 c. butter or margarine, softened

3 c. quick cooking oats

In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, soda and spices; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

Stir in oats and nuts. Drop dough by tablespoon, 3 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
