Ingredients: 1 1/2 lbs hamburger; 1 cup cottage cheese; 1/4 cup parmesan cheese; 1 cup onion, finely chopped; 1 egg; 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach (thawed & drained); 1 1/2 teaspoons salt; 1/4 teaspoon black pepper; 4 teaspoons garlic powder; 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce; 1/4 cup dry red wine; 2 tablespoons cornstarch; 3 cups hot cooked rice

Servings: persons

1 1/2 lbs hamburger
1 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach (thawed & drained)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 teaspoons garlic powder
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 cups hot cooked rice

Combine first 9 ingredients, mix well; form into 18 - 2 in diameter meatballs.

Place in lightly greased shallow baking pan. Bake at 450 for 20 minute.

In a separate pan, blend broth, tomato sauce, wine & cornstarch. Stirring constantly until thickened over medium heat.

Pour over meatballs, stir into pan juices.

Reduce heat to 350 & continue baking for 30 min longer.

Serve over beds of rice.
