Mushroom Casserole – a delicious recipe with bread, oleo, mushrooms, onions, mayonnaise, eggs. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

8 to 10 slices bread
4 Tbsp. oleo
1 lb. mushrooms
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 eggs, beaten well
1 can mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
salt and pepper
1 lb. sharp cheese, grated

Cut bread into cubes.

Saute in oleo the mushrooms and onions. Set aside.

Mix mayonnaise, eggs, soup, milk and seasonings. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish and add bread cubes on sides and bottom.

Alternate mushrooms and onions with soup mixture and cheese.

Make the day before.

Bake at 350u00b0 for 40 minutes.

The last 5 minutes, top with cheese and let it melt.
