Preheat oven to 400u00b0F. Line an baking sheet with foil. Heat butter and oil in large skillet. Saute onion for 8-10 mins, until soft. Stir in sugar and vinegar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 10 mins). Season to taste.
