1/4 lb. salt pork

1 medium potato
1/4 head cabbage
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 qt. hot water
1/4 c. precooked rice
1/2 c. frozen peas
1/4 c. tomato paste
grated Parmesan cheese

Heat 6 cups of water to boiling in a large saucepan. Gradually add navy beans to boiling water.

Simmer 2 minutes and remove from heat.
