Stir over low heat, without boiling, until smooth. Sift flours together and blend into chocolate mixture with eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour 10 mins, or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 mins. Turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Cut cake in half horizontally. Spread whipped cream over bottom half and sandwich with top half. Cut into squares. In a saucepan, combine dark chocolate, cream, brown sugar and remaining vanilla. Heat on low 3-4 mins, stirring, until melted. Spoon onto cake and serve immediately.
