Matthew'S Sugar Cookies

   Mix thoroughly butter, powdered sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract.

   Blend in flour, soda and cream of tartar.

   Cover.

   Chill 2 to 3 hours.

   Heat oven to 350u00b0.

   Roll on a lightly floured surface.

   Cut into shapes or roll into 1-inch balls and press with thumb.

   Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

   Sprinkle with granulated sugar.

    Bake 5 minutes or until light brown on edges.
