Pre heat oven to 110C / 215F .

Lightly grease a large oven tray then line with baking paper and then lightly grease the baking paper and then dust the tray with cornflour , shaking off the excess flour .

Set aside till needed .

Place the egg whites into a clean dry bowl .

Using electric mixers , beat the egg whites till soft peaks form .

Gradually add the caster sugar , a little at a time (about a tablespoon full at a time) till mixture becomes smooth and glossy and that all sugar has been dissolved into the mixture .

Then add the vinegar and mix will to combine .

Either spoon the prepared mixture onto the prepared lined tray or pipe the mixture onto the prepared lined tray , the choice is yours .

Place the tray of prepared Maringues into the preheated oven for at least 1 hour or until turned pale colour slightly and are firm and crisp .

Now turn the oven off and leave the oven door open ajar slightly till they cool completely .

Remove from the oven and serve at room temp .
