Cut a piece of parchment paper to around 30 x 30 cm and line the cake pan.

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Warm the milk in the microwave until warm to the touch.

Add vanilla extract and stir.

Combine the whole eggs, egg yolk, granulated sugar, and honey in a bowl.

Place that bowl into another bowl to use as a double boiler.

Beat with a hand mixer as it warms.

Once it becomes thick, continue blending until the beaters leave tracks in the batter.

Sift in the flour and mix it in with the hand mixer for 1 minute.

Lastly add the milk from Step 2 and use a rubber spatula to mix it in evenly.

Pour into the cake pan.

Don't pour in the batter that remains on the bottom and sides of the bowl.

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 180C.

It will become this puffy when it's baked!

The cake became gooey after 12 minutes in my oven.

Once it has cooled, remove from the pan and let it cool completely.

Place it into a plastic bag and leave it overnight so that it will become moist and the flavors settle.

If you use 4 large eggs and 1 large egg yolk, it will pretty much come out the same as the ingredients listed.

If you use just 5 medium eggs, it will be fluffy.
