3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 3/4 c. + 1 Tbsp. sugar
2 eggs

1 1/3 c. water
1 qt. mint chocolate-chip ice cream (see note)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. heavy cream

Grease and flour a 9-inch spring-form pan.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

In large bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter with 1 3/4 cups sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla; beat 1 minute.

Add flour mixture alternately with water, beating well after each addition.

Pour into pan.

Bake 1 hour or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
