Hush Puppies(Makes 5 Dozen)

   In a medium bowl measure cornmeal, salt, garlic salt and onion.

   In a large measuring cup measure buttermilk and add soda. Stir and let set for a couple of minutes.

   Then stir into cornmeal.

   Heat oil to 375u00b0.

   Drop by tablespoons into hot oil. Fry only a few at a time, turning once.

   Cook 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown.

   Drain on paper towels.
