Hot Milk Cake Or Lazy Daisy

   Beat eggs well; gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; add this to egg mixture and beat thoroughly.

   Heat milk and butter to boiling point; add to batter with vanilla. Beat slightly.

   Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.

   When done, spread with topping immediately.

   Place under broiler until brown.

   Without topping, this cake is great for strawberry shortcake or is great with frosting.
