Put the semolina in a bowl and add bread flour, baking powder, salt and water. Mix well.

Now knead by hand seven minutes. Add vegetable oil and knead one minute. The dough should not be soft but a little stiff.

Cover it with a wet cloth for 20 minutes.

Roll out the dough to from a large rectangle (9x9 inch with a thickness of around 1/16 inch) on a lightly floured surface.

Use a cookie cutter (3-inch diameter) to cut out your bread shapes.

Heat the oil on high, in a deep frying pan and fry two at a time, spoon the oil over the breads in a circular motion.

Both sides should turn into golden brown.

Take the bread out of the oil and put on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Serve hot with a vegetable curry.
