Meat & Poultry
-
1
Peel and finely chop the onion, and mix well in a bowl with the minced beef, using a fork.
-
2
Mix in the salt, pepper, herbs and sauce and bind together with a little egg.
-
3
The mixture should be wet enough so the ingredients mould together, but not soggy.
-
4
Divide this into two portions, shape each into a ball, and then flatten into a circle, about 3/4 in (2cm) thick.
-
5
Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
-
6
Put the beefburgers carefully in the pan, and fry for 10-15 minutes, according to size, turning occasionally to cook both sides.
-
7
Do not have the heat too high, as the beefburgers need to cook right through to the middle without burning the outside.
