Herren'S Sweet Rolls

   Scald milk in heavy saucepan.

   Add butter, sugar and salt. Cool.

   Soften yeast in water and add to mixture.

   Add flour, a cup at a time, and beat.

   Turn onto floured board and let rest 15 minutes.

   Knead until smooth.

   Place in buttered bowl and cover with cloth until doubled in size.

   Roll to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into 8-inch squares.

   Brush with butter.
