Heat shortening and butter together.

Cold.

Sift 2 c. flour, baking pwdr and sugar in bowl; make well in flour, and pour in melted ingredients; stir to combine, then stir in egg white.

Add in lowfat milk and beat vigorously to smooth out lumps.

Add in herbs.

Gradually add in sufficient flour to make a stiff dough.

Form into ball and knead 10 min on flour surface.

Divide equally and wrap in wax paper and let rest at room temperature 20 min.

Roll out on floured surface as thin as possible, cut with pizza cutter.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Sprinkle with salt if you like.

Prick with fork a few times.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min till brown.
