To make the filling: in a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin evaporated milk, and egg.

Add in 1/3 cup sugar, brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons flour, pumpkin pie spice, and 1/8 teaspoon salt; whisk lightly just until combined; set aside.

In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon salt.

Stir in the milk, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla.

Pour the remaining melted butter into a 2-quart square baking dish, tilting dish to coat.

Pour batter into dish, spreading evenly.

Spoon pumpkin mixture on top.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until top is golden.
