Green Bean Bundles

   First, drain all the green beans in a colander. Then, slice the bacon in half, making 30 pieces of bacon. Spray a glass or metal baking dish with cooking spray. Make a little work station with the bacon, green beans and the dish.

   Working with a small handful of green beans (5-8 usually), wrap one piece of bacon around each, and place seam side down on the baking sheet. You want the bacon to wrap completely around the green beans. Continue until you have used up all the green beans and/or bacon or the dish is full. Sprinkle liberally with the garlic powder-you don't have to salt and pepper the beans because the bacon is pretty salty.

   Melt the butter and brown sugar together and stir until well mixed. Pour immediately over the beans, pouring slowly to cover all the beans.

   Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and cooked through. Serve warm.

   Note: this recipe can be made with much more green beans or bacon. Just make sure to sprinkle with the garlic powder and use equal parts butter and brown sugar. Enjoy!
