German Potato Salad

   Peel off skins of the potatoes and slice in a large bowl. While they are still very warm, add celery seed and onions and toss. Set aside. Fry the bacon strips and cool on a paper towel. Crumble to add to the potatoes. In the same frying pan where you fried the bacon (do not remove the grease). Add the vinegar and sugar and cook to dissolve the sugar. Add more vinegar or sugar if you like to your taste. Pour the hot liquid over the potatoes. Toss and serve warm. There should be enough salt from the bacon grease. Add pepper to taste.
