German Down Home Skillet

   Peel and slice your potatoes, cook them until soft in a pot of boiling water for about 20 minutes.

   Make sure to test them with a fork as you go; when done they will be tender.

   Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat over high heat.

   add onions and ground beef and cook until meat is browned.

   Add gravy, peas, garlic, salt and pepper.

   Turn heat down to medium and let simmer for 2 minutes.

   Add cooked potato slices and heavy cream.

   Cook until sauce is completely thickened up and covers all of the beef and potatoes.

   Serve with a bottle of beer.
