1 ham bone

1 tablespoon olive oil
⅓ cup tomato sauce
4 slices bacon
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon pepper
1 garlic clove

Heat 4 1/2 quarts of water in a large pot.

Add all ingredients, cover, and cook for 3 hours.
