1 cup Burgundy wine
1 fresh bay leaf

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 handful chopped Italian parsley
The Dumplings
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/4 cup minced Italian parsley
6 tablespoons boiling water
1 1/2 tablespoons melted margarine

Heat oil in a Dutch oven and brown the carrots, onions, and meat over medium heat.
