Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil water and cook mosticalli as directed on box. Melt butter in fry pan and add chopped onion. Cook until golden and add ground meat until mixture becomes crumbly and browned. Add tomato sauce, plus 1 can of water to mixture, dried mint, and salt & pepper to t aste. Simmer until sauce has thickened a bit. Drain pasta in a colander. Spread one-half of the grated cheese evenly over the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Put half of the pasta in the pan and spread it evenly. Cover with 1/2 of remaining cheese. Spread meat sauce over pasta evenly and toss a sprinkle of cheese over it. Pour milk slowly throughout the pan. Beat eggs with a fork and spread over the top of the pasta, brushing slowly to distribute evenly all over. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and cover with aluminum foil. Cook for 40 minutes and then remove foil. Continue cooking about 20 minutes or until juices evaporate and pasticio is a golden color. Cool for 20 minutes and then cut into squares. If cut as it is taken out of the oven, it will fall apart, but still taste delicious.
