Fat-Free Foam Rubber Birthday Cake

   Cut out the piece of foam rubber from an old foam mattress or buy one from an upholstery store.

   Cover all sides (including bottom) with a thick layer of frosting, with a 1/2-inch thick layer on top.

   Refrigerate before inserting candles, so frosting stiffens up enough to support the candles.

   Serve to birthday honoree at a party and insist the honoree cuts the cake.

   Be sure to have camera ready to catch honoree's expression when the cake refuses to be cut.

   If honoree is a friend or employer, be sure to have a real cake as a back-up!
