Economy Cake

   Mix water, sugar, butter, and raisins in a pot and bring to a boil.

   Remove from heat and cool.

   When cool enough to not burn, add soda.

   This will foam.

   Add salt, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.

   Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan.

   Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven until the cake pulls loose from the sides of the pan or inserted toothpick comes out clean.
