Drop Cookies

   Cream brown sugar and white sugar with shortening.

   Add egg or eggs, beaten.

   Stir soda and baking powder into flour; add flour mixture alternately with sour milk.

   Stir in vanilla.

   Add floured raisins and nuts and blend.

   Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheet.

   Bake at 375u00b0 until light brown or make indentation with finger.

   Remove to racks to cool.
