1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c. melted shortening
3 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 (6 ounce.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pcs
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, liquid removed and minced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift flour, baking pwdr, and salt.

Stir in egg, lowfat milk, then brown sugar.

Grease and flour 3 (6 x 3 x 2 1/4 inch) miniature loaf pans.

Add in to batter, melted shortening and chocolate, stirring till blended.

Stir in chocolate chips and cherries.

Divide batter between 3 pans.

Bake about 45 min or possibly till done.

Cold in pans for about 15 min, then remove and finish cooling.
