Date Nut Loaf Candy

   Mix sugar and milk together.

   Cook until a drop placed in cold water forms a soft ball.

   Remove from heat and add dates and vanilla; beat until thickened.

   Add nuts.

   Place on damp cloth and roll in long roll.

   Place in refrigerator.

   When hardened, take out of cloth.
