Date And Nut Cream Candy

   Boil sugar and milk together until soft ball will form when dropped into cold water.

   Have dates cut into small pieces; put into sugar and stir until dates are melted.

   Remove from fire.

   Add vanilla and beat until nearly thick enough to pour out.

   Add nuts and beat until thick enough to pour, so it will spread well.

   Pour into dish and when cold, cut into squares.
