2 1/2 c. salt
1 Tbsp. ginger
1 qt. vinegar
1 pt. water
2 Tbsp. celery seed
3 lb. white sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
green cake coloring
1/2 Tbsp. whole cloves
1 Tbsp. bark cinnamon
1 Tbsp. mixed spices

Slice pickles to 1/4-inch thick.

Make brine of water and salt to float an egg.

Let stand in brine for 7 days, stirring each day.
