Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Spread the oats in an ungreased pans (I used a regular sheet pan) and bake for 10 minutes.

Combine the almonds, wheat germ, coconut, powdered milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. When the oats are done, add to the bowl and mix.

In another small bowl, mix the honey, canola oil, and vanilla. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients. Spread the mixture back on the sheet pan. Bake for a total of 15 minutes, but pull the pan out of the oven every 3-4 minutes and stir. If adding dried fruit, stir in during the last 10 minutes of baking. It's done when it's golden brown.

Don't let it sit in the pan too long after pulling it out of the oven because it will adhere to the pan (like mine did!). Store in an airtight container.
