Melt the butter then pour in 3/4 cup milk and heat until lukewarm. Mix half of the milk with 1 tbsp sugar and the yeast and leave for a couple of mins until frothy.

In a bowl, mix the flour, 1/2 cup sugar and a pinch of salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast milk. Mix to combine, then cover and leave in a warm place for 15 mins. Add the remaining warm milk and 1 egg, knead into a smooth dough, cover and leave for 30 mins.

Grease a baking sheet and dust it with flour. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to 12 x 15 inches and transfer to the baking sheet. Cover and leave to rise for 15 mins.

Heat oven to 350u00b0F. Mix the sour cream, vanilla extract and pudding mix with the remaining eggs, milk and sugar. Distribute the cherries on the dough, cover with the sour cream mixture and bake for 25 mins. Cool, cut into squares and decorate with the chocolate shavings.
