Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fry the bacon in a large frying pan till very crisp. While bacon is frying, clean mushrooms and removed stems. Course chop the stems and set aside. Place mushroom caps on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Once bacon is crisp, remove bacon from pan and let cool on paper towels - then crumble into very small peices. Place chopped onion and chopped mushroom stems in the same frying pan with the bacon grease and saute until the onions are soft and lightly brown. To this mixture add the breadcrumbs, crab, crumbled bacon, and the smoked cheddar. Mix all together and turn off the heat. Put a scoop of the mixture inside each of the prepared mushroom caps. Sprinkle with Parmesean cheese and bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
