For the dough, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, egg, lemon zest and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the butter and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and leave to rest about 30 mins.

Preheat oven to 400u00b0F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out eggs with cookie cutters. Transfer to lined baking sheets and bake about 8 mins. Leave to cool.

For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar, lemon juice and 1-2 tbsp warm water into a thick, smooth paste. Divide the mixture into eighths, and color with the food coloring, as desired. Put some of each color into a freezer bag and cut off one small corner. Thin out the rest of the icing with water, brush on the cookies and let set. Decorate the cookies with colored icing from the freezer bags and top with sugar flowers and pearls.
