Christmas Sugar Cookies

   Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder together in large mixing bowl.

   Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly, then beat in eggs and sour milk.

   Add sugar and vanilla and mix well. Mixture will still feel rather dry.

   Form about 1/3 of mixture into a ball and work with hands.

   Place on floured board and roll out with rolling pin and cut into desired shapes.

   Repeat with remaining dough.

   Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350u00b0 until dough starts to crack on top of cookie.

   Ice if desired. These make great cookies for you to let your kids help make at Christmastime.
