Add cucumbers, green pepper, cabbage, onion, and tomatoes in a large non-metal container (I use a huge tupperware container).

Dissolve the salt in 2 quarts of water; pour salt water over the vegetables; cover and let stand 8-10 hours.

Drain well.

Add lima beans, green beans, carrots, and 2 cups water to a large saucepan; cook 20 minutes or so or until crisp-tender; drain.

Combine all the vegetables and the remaining ingredients in a large pot.

Bring to a boil; boil for 10 minutes.

Pack vegetables into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.

Cover with lids and screw bands on tight.

Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
