1/2 cup water
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 tblesp + 1 tsp molasses

1/2 tsp salt
1 tblesp rum. (optional)
2 1/2 cups pecans halves

PREHEAT OVEN TO 325

Prepare or thaw 9inch pie crust

Melt butter and chocolate chips over low heat set aside

In separate bowl whisk together eggs and water until well mixed.

Whisk in sugar, molasses, vanilla, salt and rum Whisk in melted butter-melted chocolate chips

Arrange 23 of pecans on bottom of pie crust and pour 3/4 of filling over pecans Pecans will float to top of mixture Arrange remaining pecans on top of floating pecans Than pour remaining filling over pecans

PLACE IN OVEN AND BAKE UNTIL FILLING IS SET AND SLIGHTLY PUFFED, ABOUT 50 MINUTES
