Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Grease and flour a 10x4 inch loaf pan.

Cream butter, sugar and a pinch of salt until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, until smooth. Fold in flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Fold in chopped chocolate bars. Transfer to loaf pan, smooth surface and bake for 50-60 mins. Let cool for 10 mins then remove from pan to cool completely.

Meanwhile, sprinkle marzipan with cocoa powder. Roll out thinly into a 20x12 inch rectangle. Bring jam with 1 tbsp water to a boil. Place cake on a serving plate and coat with jam. Enclose cake in marzipan. Press edges together and shape into a parcel. Trim excess. Arrange licorice laces to suggest an opened parcel. Decorate with sliced candy bars and dust with cocoa powder.
