Ingredients: 800 grams Chicken meat; 2 tbsp Cooking sake; 2 tbsp Soy sauce; 3 tsp Grated ginger; 1 Katakuriko; 1 for frying Vegetable oil; 300 ml Water; 150 ml Mentsuyu (3x concentrate); 1 tbsp Mirin; 150 ml Grated daikon radish; 100 ml Grated nagaimo yam

Servings: persons

800 grams Chicken meat
2 tbsp Cooking sake
2 tbsp Soy sauce
3 tsp Grated ginger
1 Katakuriko
1 for frying Vegetable oil
300 ml Water
150 ml Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
1 tbsp Mirin
150 ml Grated daikon radish
100 ml Grated nagaimo yam

Marinade the chicken for at least 1 hour.

Put the water, mentsuyu and mirin in a pan and bring to a boil.

Switch off the heat and add the grated daikon radish and nagaimo yam, and mix well.

Put the marinated chicken and katakuriko in a plastic bag and shake to coat the chicken evenly.

Deep fry at 180C until crispy.

Put the fried chicken on a serving dish and pour the sauce over it.

Delicious with some yuzu pepper or grated ginger too!
