Worcestershire sauce; 1 tsp. salt; dash of pepper; dash of hot sauce; 1 can tomatoes; 4 whole chicken breasts, cut off the bone in bite-size pieces; 2 to 3 c. water; 1 1/2 c. cut okra; 1 1/2 tsp. gumbo file (optional); hot rice

2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. oil
1 slice bacon, diced
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped

1 tsp. soy sauce

Combine flour and oil in large Dutch oven.

Stir over medium heat until flour is medium brown.

Stir in cut-up bacon and cook 1 minute.

Add onion, green pepper and garlic and cook until onion is transparent.

Add next 8 ingredients (soy sauce through water). Simmer 45 minutes, or until chicken is tender.

Add okra and cook 10 minutes.

Stir in file just before serving over hot rice.
