1 1/2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. thin sliced chicken
1 level teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon soy sauce
2/3 c. water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 c. celery, minced
1/2 c. minced onion
1/2 pound bean sprouts
1/2 pound Chinese cabbage

Heat shortening in pan till very warm; add in chicken and salt.

Saute/fry for 2 min.

To this add in 1 tsp.

soy sauce; add in vegetables.

Stir and cook for 3 min.

Add in 1/3 c. water; cover and cook for 3 min.

Now make your gravy by mixing 1 tsp.

cornstarch and 1 tsp.

soy sauce to remainder of water; add in to chop suey and stir till gravy reaches desired consistency.

Serve with steaming warm rice.
